The “Croatian Stalingrad”, 1991 / 2011
Exactly 20 years ago, the Slavonic city of Vukovar (aka. the “Croatian Stalingrad”) was taken by Serbian forces after three months of battle & siege, with massacres, expulsions and other human rights violations as consequences. However, this should only be the gory prelude to even more dreadful events…
Nolens volens, the madness of those days has also become the formal principle of some of those film documents, as the example below shows (and others which you find under “Vukovar” on YouTube)
